A Chanel original matelasse travel bag, comes with CC logo luggage tag, along with a firm & sturdy top handle, a detachable shoulder strap with shoulder padding, large front pocket (even a rear zipped pocket)... all wrapped in vintage chanel's signature diamond quilted stitching pattern.
This iconic Chanel bag is an essential for any road trips or air travels. The most unique one out there ;)
The base comes with 4 hardware pieces, so the base won't entirely touch the ground!
This is such a durable bag with the strong leather, it's really made to last.
I've taken it to general cleaning on the leather & fine polish all the gold hardware fittings (except the zipper which unfortunately couldn't be done).
The condition is great for a vintage, and it's clean both externally and internally!
It only suffers a bit of loss of shape (leather creasing) a the bottom, which is normal signs of wear for a large bag.

Exterior
• Material: black calf skin leather
• Corners: very slight rubbing, but generally in good condition
• Base: good condition, tiny bit of fine surface scratches (normal wear)
• Hardware: gold hardware, been cleaned & polished so it looks good. However the main zipper is tarnished (as it can't be polished)
• Cracks/creases: no cracks, but some creasing around the handle and near bottom of the bag (normal signs of wear)
• Scratch: mostly on the corners (as seen above), and some fine ones on the handle (normal wear), minor scuffing edges
• Discoloration: none
• Top handle: generally in good condition, very slight rubbing but not noticable. One corner shows a tiny tear on the back, but again not noticable & won't impact use.
• Strap: a little bit of rubbing and signs of repair at a tip, but generally in very good condition. Inner side of shoulder padding shows sign of wear with some grey discoloration, but it's on the inside so not at all visible. (see photos)
• Zipper: main zipper runs very smooth, back pocket zipper is fine but slightly stiff vs. the main
• Luggage tag: good condition
• Smell: no vintage smell, but a slight metallic smell (most likely from the zipper) if you go up close
• Condition: loss of shape towards the bottom due to age, but still in excellent vintage condition!
Interior
• Lining: nylon fabric
• Inner pocket: 2
• Zipper: 2, runs smooth
• Smell: none
• Condition: very clean and in great condition
Serial number seal fully intact in side the bag, 7-digits starting with 0.
