Vintage Hermès 1980s Emblem Ring Box Calf Shoulder Bag

Again, very lucky to have found an elegant vintage Hermes leather bag!

This vintage beauty is from 1988, in a very sophisticated dark navy shade and smooth box calf leather (that has beautiful luster), and with the softest lambskin leather on the interior lining.

It's very rare to buy a box calf leather bag from Hermes these days.
The patina on the leather over time makes the bag even nicer and honestly more desirable, much better than when it is new!

And as all box calf leather do, they hold its shape well. So you will be able to enjoy this bag for much longer.

The signature part is definitely the H emblem ring hardware for the flap opening, I feel like that alone makes this bag a collectable piece.

Wearing it one shoulder or crossbody (although I prefer one shoulder! Crossbody will sit a little high).

The overall condition is excellent for such an old bag, you can see from the photos that there are only normal signs of wear with very light scratches.

I have no plan to retouch this bag as I think the ultimate owner should make this decision. The beauty of vintage is really to carry the history with you. 
You can contact me seperately about bag spa or retouch with leather craftsman in Japan, although I don't think it's necessary.

Exterior
• Material: dark navy box calf leather
• Hardware: 18k plated gold hardware, in good condition with minor surface scratch 
• Corners: great condition
• Base: great condition
• Creases/cracks: none on bag body
• Scratch: some minor surface scratches as normal signs of wear on box calf leather; the interior has slightly more surface scratches than the exterior, but none are major. Please refer to photos.
• Discoloration: none on the main body. After opening the flap, there's a few tiny light black spots on the area near the Hermes golden charm/ring (it's hard to see even in photos, only visible in certain light angle since dark navy and black blends), and one next to the embossed Hermes logo. All of these are not major since they're black, but I do have to share this. Please refer to photos.
• Strap: the main part of the strap is in great condition. The very end part that's attached to the bag body shows a little signs of wear (refer to photos)

• Lining: leather in the same color
• Compartment: 2 main compartments
• Inner pocket: in main compartment - 1 pocket with flap and snap closure, 2 small slip pockets for small items
• Zipper: none
• Smell: none
• Condition: nice and clean, in good condition, some minor surface scratches as normal signs of wear (see photos)
